Vertical Reality uses the term “auto-belay” to describe its automated hydraulic belaying system which incorporates a pressurized air over oil hydraulic reservoir tank that automatically controls the rate of descent without effecting the rate of ascent.  Our system eliminates the need to rely upon a human belayer for every climber which translates into significant labor savings!
